  • What is your experience as a freelance writer?
I cut my teeth writing for small-print publications on my college campus, where I earned my bachelor's and master's degree in English with a specialization in creative writing. Building on that foundation, I honed my craft at a local publishing company for three years. There, I had the opportunity to write for eight publications, each with its unique audience and style guides while overseeing the production of a weekly newspaper. At this time, I also began publishing my own creative writing— poetry, short stories, and nonfiction pieces in print anthologies and publications around the United States and revived an international journal of women’s gender, and sexuality studies. As the Editor-in-Chief of Feminist Spaces for two years, I successfully rebranded the publication, expanded its readership internationally, trained editorial teams, managed the editorial budget, and built a new website to host the publication. Meanwhile, I expanded my freelance portfolio, working with various newspapers and magazines in Florida as well as clients ranging from nonprofits and the tourism industry to marketing agencies, C-suite executives and solopreneurs, all hailing from diverse backgrounds and industries. Currently, I find myself engrossed in both my full-time role as a sales proposal writer within the healthcare sector and freelancing during my downtime. Writing, in any genre or form, has always been my passion, and freelancing affords me the opportunity to continuously hone my skills, keep my creative brain active, and establish meaningful connections within my community. It’s an honor to spotlight the remarkable talent and essential work carried out by local artists, activists, nonprofits and small businesses.
  • Can you provide writing samples?
Certainly! While my website portfolio offers a glimpse into my writing style and capabilities, it only represents a portion of my work. If there is a specific topic or type of writing you're interested in seeing, I'd be more than happy to provide additional samples.
  • How do I hire you for a writing project?
Hiring me for a writing project is easy! Simply shoot me an email and we can start the conversation. Share your project details, timeline, and any specific requirements you have in mind. I'll be more than happy to discuss the project with you and determine if we're a good fit to work together.
  • What are your rates?
I primarily base project pricing on the scope and timeline involved. This approach allows for a fair and transparent estimation of the work required to deliver a high-quality result tailored to your specific needs. Feel free to reach out, and we can discuss the details of your project or specific requirements.
  • How do you handle payments?
For large projects, my preferred payment method is through a retainer system. I request a 50% upfront payment at the project's initiation, ensuring a commitment from both parties. Upon project completion, the remaining 50% is billed. To facilitate payment, I accept checks and most money transfers. Additionally, I can provide a convenient invoice with an easy payment portal attached.
  • What is your turnaround time for completing a project?
My turnaround time largely depends on the number of clients and projects already on my desk. To give a range of possibilities, I've completed complex, research-heavy articles with 4-5 sources in less than a week from assignment and I've also had social media campaigns with soft deadlines that took nearly two months to collect photos, videos, and interviews. Let's discuss your timeline and see if I can make it work!
  • Do you offer revisions?
Absolutely! Revisions are an essential aspect of the writing process. Generally, I offer one or two rounds of revisions as part of my standard service before any additional charges apply, allowing us to fine-tune the content to perfection. If the project requires more extensive revisions or you prefer to have extra rounds built into the project, we can discuss and customize the revision process accordingly.
  • Do you offer ongoing content writing services?
Building strong working relationships with my clients is a priority, and I'm always open to considering ongoing projects and long-term collaborations. If the scope of work aligns well with my schedule and expertise, I'd be more than happy to engage in continuous partnerships for various content needs— whether it's ongoing social media campaigns, regular blog posts, or even staff writing positions.
